Social Media Weekly Tips 3... Get my top tips for the week on various social media platforms! -TablerPartyOfTwo.com

I’ve spent lots time in the past few days on the lookout for the best tips to share with you this week. I think you’ll find them very helpful!

Want a way to stay connected to your followers, leads and customers? Instagram’s direct message feature is the perfect solution! On her recent blog post, Instagram expert Sue B. Zimmerman explains how the private message feature allows brands to send videos, images or messages directly to an individual or group of people as an authentic way to engage. Learn exactly how to use this feature and some best practices here!

Before you go live, be sure to make notes with bullet points of the topics you want to discuss. These notes will keep you on track and also prevent you from forgetting to share important information. Plus (especially if you’re new to Periscope) your notes will give you that extra boost of confidence each time you go live!

Facebook TipsFacebook Tip of the Week
You want to increase engagement on every Facebook post, right? Then be sure to include a call to action on each and every one! Include phrases such as “Share this if you found it helpful!” Or, replace “share this” with “comment on this” or “like this.” You get the picture. Just ASK!

Make sure to actively pin on ALL your boards. There are two reasons for this. First, when others follow your boards, they are literally telling you, “I like this content, please share more!” So be sure to give them more of what they came for. Secondly, Pinterest wants to see active boards. If you are like me, you want to do everything possible to follow the guidelines Pinterest prefers! So if you have a board that you don’t invest in, just get rid of it! I did some housekeeping myself in this area just last week. I eliminated a couple of boards, and a combined a few others.
Twitter Tip of the week

Twitter Tip of the Week
Take time each month to unfollow inactive accounts. Some studies reveal that up to 40% of users on Twitter are inactive. YIKES! Being followed by these dead accounts is not helping you. Nor is there a good reason for you to continue to follow those inactive accounts. They do not engage in conversations on Twitter. They don’t retweet anything. In addtion, inactive accounts increase your Twitter “following” count, which subsequently can affect your Twitter ratio.

To determine which accounts are inactive so that I can unfollow them, I use the app Crowdfire. It makes the whole process very simple!

Hope you enjoyed this week’s tips! If you have further questions about any of them, tweet me and I’ll respond! You can also leave questions for future topics in the comments below. See you on social media!
