Gold & Antique White Fall Wreath

Inspiration for an unusual project struck over the weekend. I wanted to create a new fall wreath for our front door, but I wanted it to be really different. I set out to Hobby Lobby not sure what I would find. As I walked around the store, I came across some small gold antlers. I immediately knew they were the beginning of my inspiration! I wished they were bigger, but I decided I just HAD to make them work!

It took me about an hour and a half to finally pull it all together, but I had a hunch it was all going to work.

Gold & Antique White Fall Wreath. Eclectic and different but definitely FALL! Just grab some antique white flowers and some gold accents to make this gorgeous wreath!

The supplies I grabbed to use were antique white flowers (I originally wanted all antique hydrangeas, but opted for a less expensive multi-bunch), feathers, a gold-edged frame and the antlers. As I created, I added some gold-painted pine cones, acorns and tiny pumpkins I had from last year’s fall projects. To create my fall wreath, I simply used wire cutters, wire and a hot glue gun and kept adding things until I was pleased!

Here are a few things you might want or need to create this wreath:

My sweet Cairn Terrier, Pumbaa, noticed he matched my color scheme and begged to be a doggie model. 🙂

And he loved the finished product!

I love how the gold and antique white really “pop” against my turquoise front door.

Fall Wreath with Antique White Flowers

I know, it’s a little unusual… no fall colored leaves, no orange anywhere. But I really love it!

  9. Hi Andrea
What a pretty fall wreath! 🙂 Love the idea of using a picture frame for the base of the wreath. The whites, golds, and browns look beautiful together, and the antlers give such a fun whimsical feel. Well done!

  13. This is beautiful! I love when there’s just a hint of gold for accenting, but what really makes this is the feathers. I never would’ve thought to add feathers. I’ve been itching to make my first wreath but I’m nervous to spend the money only to dislike the end product!

  14. i love this nature inspired wreath! a few years ago i redid mine to make it more wispy, and i feel like wispy works here, too.

  15. Your wreath is unusual but also very beautiful. Wreaths don’t have to be always about the season and you will most likely be able to use your wreath into Christmas with antlers and choice of flowers with feathers. Gorgeous choices, you went with an idea, stayed true to it, glad you could find what you wanted.

Enjoy your lovely wreath and Fall
