Are you adventurous when it comes to your wardrobe? For some reason, I am always drawn toward trends that mix colors and patterns in unexpected ways. Last week at The Hundred blog conference in Dallas, I had an unanticipated (but greatly appreciated!) opportunity for a headshot and fashion photo shoot for my blog. Thank you to my friend Lupita Martinez of Images Of Rain Photography! This polka-dot/stripe combo is what I wore to the love farewell brunch at the historic Aldrege House.

It was a hot but beautiful day in Dallas. I felt like a princess while Lupita did the photo shoot! I liked changing the look a little with the sweater and different statement necklaces.
One of my favorite things about the weekend was getting to catch up with some dear friends from San Antonio.
Meggan is the co-owner and creator of the AMAZING Lily Jade diaper bags and totes. Merrily wears many hats, but one of my favorites is her blog, Chasing Happy Ever After. Please take a moment to click on these talented ladies’ sites!
Okay… one last “favorite thing” about the conference. Each attendee received a parting gift at the farewell brunch. (The Lily Jade bags were the hot pick!) I received this super cute necklace (see above and below) from White Plum. It’s so unusual, and I love the length!
