Unbelievably Simple Skillet Lasagna

A couple of weeks ago, I shared a recipe for Spicy Mozzarella-Stuffed Meatballs I created using one of Mezzetta’s new Napa Valley Homemade Pasta Sauces. I completely fell in love with the Spicy Marinara sauce, so I decided to try another flavor! This time I used the Tomato and Sweet Basil sauce, and (like the other) it really rivals a sauce made from scratch!

This Napa Valley Pasta Sauce is made from all natural ingredients… not a single chemical or word I can’t pronounce. Plus it has no added sugar, so it’s Paleo friendly!

This here dinner is whatcha call pure comfort food (which I rarely cook for us!), so Tom was in heaven. I even made him french bread to go along with it! Here’s how you make this Unbelievably Simple Skillet Lasagna:

Ingredients
  1. 1 pound Italian sausage
  2. 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  3. 3 cloves garlic, minced
  4. 24 oz Mezzetta Tomato & Sweet Basil Pasta Sauce
  5. 1½ cups beef stock
  6. 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  7. 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  8. 2 (9 oz) packages refrigerated ravioli (I used Spinach Artichoke!)
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, brown Italian sausage, onions and garlic over medium high heat. Cook until onions are soft and sausage is no longer pink.
  2. Stir in pasta sauce, ravioli, and beef stock, pushing as much of the ravioli beneath the sauce as you can.
  3. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes, until the pasta is cooked.
  4. Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  5. Heat until melted.
  6. Serve immediately.
