Tips & Takeaways from Social Media Marketing World 2015. It was an amazing event where I gained so much knowledge about blogging, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and more!Social Media Marketing World ’15 was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Kudos to Mike Stelzner, founder of Social Media Examiner, and his team for what appeared to be a seamlessly planned conference for 2,500 bloggers, business owners, social media marketers and more! I learned more blogging and social media tips than I could ever include in one post, so I’ll probably write several. Here are my first four tips and takeaways!

Tips & Takeaways from Social Media Marketing World 2015. It was an amazing event where I gained so much knowledge about blogging, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and more!

Native Video
One message was loud and clear: This is the year for native video across all social media platforms. Native means uploading video directly into each channel. (No one-size-fits-all video uploaded from YouTube.) Several speakers addressed native video. Consider how much can be communicated in a 30 second video in Twitter compared to what can be communicated in 140 characters! Native video is the untapped frontier of social media marketing, with 57% of marketers currently using it. Studies show that video takes priority in the Facebook newsfeed, and Mark Zuckerberg himself has stated that video is a big priority.

social media tips

Instagram
Sue B. Zimmerman, The Instagram Expert, offered practical and easy-to-incorporate Instagram marketing tips. She recommends carefully choosing a user name and profile photo. To create a bio that stands out, Sue suggests using key words, emojis, and calls to action. To determine the best words to include in an Instagram bio, she recommends thinking of five words people would type to find your brand.

Sue also offered best practices for content:

1. Stick to your niche.
2. Include value in every post.
3. Create images that stand out.
4. Post daily.
5. Use and promote a hashtag that is unique to your brand.

Blog Content Creation
Blogger Leslie Samuel of Becoming a Blogger offered several nuggets of advice that really resonated with me. First, if you want to monetize your blog, set strategic goals and determine where are your money-making opportunities. Then deliberately create more content that takes the most advantage of the opportunities you have identified.

Second, Leslie discussed “striking while the iron is hot.” It’s tempting to publish a blog post and then move on the next item on your to-do list. Leslie recommends finishing all tasks related to the post right after you hit publish. This makes so much sense! You best content will still be on your mind, so it’s the perfect time to create and schedule your tweets, write your Instagram and Facebook post copy, and create your image for Pinterest.

A third suggestion that Leslie shared was one of my favorites of the week. Leslie recently started a 1,000 day journey of writing where he has made writing a number one priority each day. I can only imagine how much content I could generate if I wrote every day. This doesn’t mean everything I write will become part of a blog post, nor do I always need to write content for my blog. Whatever I write, however, could become content in the future.

Pinterest TIPS

Pinterest
This really grabbed my attention:

Social Media Tips: Pinterest

Pinterest expert Peg Fitzgerald discussed the anatomy of the perfect pin. I found this very helpful!

1. Share beautiful images.
2. Use descriptive language to help pinners,
3. Maximize your images by creating long, narrow images.
4. Write keyword-rich content.
5. Add a call to action to your description, not in the image. Calls to action increase engagement by a whopping 80%!

I’m so excited to start implementing all the amazing tips, tricks and best practices that I learned last week. The conference itself was like take a sip of water from a fire hydrant. Thankfully, all 130 sessions are available for audio download. I’m ready to dive into it all!

  6. Anyone, anytime, can have access, both as buyer and as a producer.
But besides these minimum costs , there is also a permissive legislation, which eases things even more.
This is relatively true, since there are Internet marketers
who are earning as much as a hundred thousands of dollars within a month.
