Social Media Weekly Tips {2}. Get the helpful tips and best practices in this weekly series atTabler Party Of Two!

I was so grateful to hear from many of you over the past week sharing that my week-one tips were helpful! Please email me or leave a message in the comments below if there is a topic you’d like me to discuss or if you have a question about something in particular.

instagram tipsInstagram Tip of the Week
This is not exactly new news, as it’s been around since August. But in case you weren’t aware, you can now schedule Instagram posts in Hootsuite! This is big news for IG lovers! Here’s a tutorial from the peeps at Hootsuite.

Periscope tipsPeriscope Tip of the Week
When creating your titles, be sure to use Emojis! Emojis grab attention and they really make your title stand out on the Periscope feed. By including Emojis, you’ll get more viewers to watch your scope, and you will most likely get more❤️❤️❤️ ‼️

Facebook TipsFacebook Tip of the Week
Facebook Insights are powerful and very easy to use. Use your insights to learn more about your audience and how they behave and interact with your page. Facebook Page insights will help you to discover where your fans are from, when they are on Facebook, what posts of yours they like the best, and much more!

pinterest tipsPinterest Tip of the Week
There are, what, about a gazillion images pinned every day, right? You want to make sure that every image you pin can be traced back to you. When you place your pinnable image in your blog, include a link back to the SPECIFIC post in which the image appears. In addition, add a branding watermark. That way, if the link goes bad or for some reason just doesn’t work, the watermark on your image will show where your image originated. This tip is something I didn’t know early on, and I’ve spent a huge amount of time this week tweaking images from old posts, adding the link and a watermark. That = T-E-D-I-O-U-S!!!
Twitter Tip of the week

Twitter Tip of the Week
Use images in your tweets. Tweets with images are 94% more likely to get retweeted! That’s obviously a very good reason to include an image every single time you tweet about a blog post. Even better, make sure the image has a headline in it so that it stands out in the feed and readers can quickly see what your post is about.

Hope you enjoyed this week’s tips! If you have further questions about any of them, tweet me and I’ll respond! You can also leave questions for future topics in the comments below. See you on social media!

  1. These social media tips are so helpful. I appreciate them because there is so much to learn regarding how to maximize the marketing potential of social media. Every little tip helps!

  2. i’d like to know HOW to watermark a photo. I’ve done it a couple of times in Word Swag, but wonder if you recommend another tool or app for that?

    • Hi Carrie,
So sorry I just saw your comment! I find Picmonkey to be much more versatile for blogging that word swag, though I do use both. Word Swag isn’t very conducive for this because you have no control over where certain words land. If I needed to learn a new one right now, I think I’d go for Canva over Picmonkey. But for now I’m using the latter because I don’t have spare time to learn a new one right now! Email me if you want more info, friend! xoxo

  3. great tips my friend . Thank you for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop xo
