Funny thing about living in Palm Desert. Temperatures in the 90s actually feel like fall! I have no idea why. The warm fall temps make fall style a bit tricky. So I’m continuing to dress in lightweight fabrics in fall colors. At least that feels like fall style! I still spend quite a bit of time in shorts. Not quite ready to pull out the jeans yet.
Can I just say, I’m obviously no model, and doing fashion posts feels sort of awkward to me. But I do these posts because I want to encourage women to embrace whatever season of life they are in. I don’t believe you have to dress a certain way just because you’re in your 50s. Dress in what is comfortable for you and what reflects your personality!
I LOVE that sneakers have made a major appearance in fall style this year! So many options that are cute and comfy!
I’ve been wearing my glasses quite a bit lately to give my eyes a break from contacts. I love this pair of Ralph Lauren specs I got last spring. Tortoise shell on the outside; bright, sunny yellow on the inside.
So… what are YOUR thoughts on fashion after 50? I’d love for this to be a place where women share what works for them!

As you know too well, we also are still in the high 80’s…but we have this crazy humidity! Since we have moved to “Gruene Acres”, I spend the majority of my time in rubber boots, bathing the horse or cleaning the chicken coop
It is a bit cooler here in Mo. Val. but I did wear shorts and a short sleeve tee shirt all day. I like your blog. I love looking at the fashions people my age are wearing. It helps me pick the things I like and be age appropriate. Thanks.
